Iwachi Beach in Matsuzaki Town, Nishiizu, once flourished as a deep-sea fishing town for bonito.
Due to its beautiful scenery facing the inlet, it is also known as the "Cote d'Azur of the East."
There are private inns and houses surrounding the beach. During the swimming season, there is a free hot spring called "Dazur Iwachi" where you can bathe in your swimsuit.

Looking out from National Route 136, which runs along the coast, you'll be greeted by a spectacular view of the sparkling emerald-green ocean, white sandy beaches, and the turmeric-colored roofs and white ivory walls of the houses.
The rich colors are reminiscent of a resort in the south of France.
