[About Fuse Benten Tokaiji Temple]
Known locally as "Benten of Giving"
The Red Dragon Mountain Fuse Benten Tokaiji Temple is said to have been built by Kobo Daishi Kukai in the second year of the Daido era (807 AD).
This is a prayer temple that was founded with the statue of Benzaiten as its principal image (secret Buddha).
In 2006, the main hall, tower gate, and bell tower were designated as Important Cultural Properties of Chiba Prefecture.
