I'm not a fan of using it.
In the past, there were some scary moments when I almost hit power lines and branches because of the grid lines.
From then on I stopped using grid lines.
This is just my personal opinion, so if you think it's useful and you use it, then you should leave it as is.
Even if used, only the center + display will be displayed.

Drone Grid Line Benefits
1. Improve composition: Grid lines divide the screen evenly and help you position your subject based on composition rules like the Golden Ratio and Rule of Thirds, making it easier to create beautiful photos and videos.
2. Check horizontal and vertical alignment: The grid lines can be compared to the horizontal and vertical lines to help you check if your drone is positioned correctly horizontally and vertically, which is especially important when photographing buildings and landscapes to prevent distortion and tilt.
3. Subject placement: The grid lines act as a guide for centering your subject. Keeping in mind the basic rule of centering your subject will result in a balanced image.
4. Knowing altitude and distance: The grid lines can also be used to help your drone know its altitude and distance from the ground, which will help you fly and shoot safely.
These benefits can help you improve composition and visual elements when using a drone to capture photos and footage.
Drone grid line disadvantages
1. Obstruction of view: Visible grid lines can make the screen look cluttered and obscure your subject, which can hinder your creative shots.
2. Stay on your toes: For beginner photographers, looking at grid lines and constantly worrying about whether something is horizontal or vertical can be a real hindrance to creativity. It can limit your flexibility and creativity.
3. Information Overload: Grid lines add extra information to the screen, which can sometimes feel distracting and take away from the appeal of your subject or scene.
4. Preview Complexity: Grid lines can be hard to see on a drone's small screen, and visibility can be a challenge in bright environments, especially in strong sunlight.
These disadvantages are generally relatively minor and in most cases depend on the user's preference and the situation. Professional photographers and filmmakers should consider the advantages and disadvantages of grid lines in a balanced way and use them according to the scene and purpose.
