Fukuoka Castle is a nationally designated historic site... Historical structures such as turrets and gates, as well as magnificent stone walls remain, but there is no castle tower, only the castle tower base that serves as the foundation. We were able to photograph the beautifully lit-up castle tower of Fukuoka Castle, which has stood the test of time for over 400 years.
●Lights up to coincide with the start of the Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival! The "Phantom Keep" is lit up to coincide with the start of the Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival. At this year's Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival, you can enjoy the Phantom Keep and Fukuoka Castle. At night, the cherry blossoms and historical sites are lit up, creating a slightly different view than during the day. In the paid illumination area, three locations, including historical sites that are normally not open to the public, are specially opened at night. We hope you will enjoy the fantastical and atmospheric space. The illumination period will run until May 31st. We can't wait for the special events in 2025 as well.
