What is Kobe Port Tower?
Kobe Port Tower will be renovated and reopened on April 26, 2024.
Its strikingly beautiful coloring as a Kobe landmark has delighted many Kobe residents as well as tourists from all over the world for about 60 years.
From the glass-enclosed rooftop deck 100 meters above ground, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the harbor, the city, Mt. Rokko, Osaka Bay, Awaji Island, and more. At night, you can enjoy the glittering Kobe night view, known as the "10 million dollar night view." The seats at the cafe bar on the third floor of the observation area rotate 360 degrees every 30 minutes, allowing you to enjoy original drinks, sweets, and other light snacks while watching the ever-changing Kobe scenery.
The neighboring Harborland Mosaic, Ferris wheel, Anpanman Museum, Meriken Park Oriental Hotel, Hotel Okura, Kobe Maritime Museum, and La Suite Kobe are also beautifully lit up, making this a wonderful spot in Kobe that attracts many visitors.
In addition, Kobe Suma Sea World will open in June 2024 as the only aquarium in western Japan where you can see killer whales, and Kobe Suma Sea World Hotel will open as the first hotel in Japan where you can interact with dolphins.
A large fireworks display entitled Minato HANABI-2024-Five Days to Color Kobe is planned for October 2024. The port city of Kobe is set to become an even more captivating destination for tourists.
