A row of 146 ginkgo trees
All permission was obtained before filming. *Miraculously, permission was obtained.
It took about 1.5 months, including coordination with all the relevant parties, but luckily the weather was fine.
It's a bit dry in places, but please forgive me.
Aerial shot of Meiji Shrine's Outer Garden Ginkgo Tree Line. We are grateful for the opportunity to capture this footage for the first time in Japan.
This is where drone filming in Tokyo began in 2022.
Meiji Jingu Gaien was dedicated to Meiji Jingu Shrine on October 22, 1926, as a base for the dissemination of culture and sports, funded by donations and trees from citizens across the country, and volunteer work by youth groups, in order to pass on the virtues of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken to future generations. On both sides of the road overlooking the Shotoku Memorial Picture Gallery from Aoyama Street, there have been 146 ginkgo trees since the shrine's founding, and their leaves begin to turn yellow in mid-November and shine golden in late November.
